first i am sorry i can't understanding german language and my english langauge not perfect

so iam a francophone

i have some question about Activy 300 and linux vdr and dvb card

i installed debian etch on Activy 300 just basic linux console

and now i try to install VDR

1- is this card supported by linux

if this card supported by linux plaese where i can download driver and how to

i think this is a fujitsu siemens budget pci dvb-t

2-i would to recieve a sat tv with pinnacle pcsat and if DVB_FE_GD Ter supported in linux for TNT channels all this in TV screen by real magic EM8400 'tv-out)
of course under Linux and VDR

To use the activy under Linux I'd advice my Gen2VDR distribution, but I don't know if your dvb-t card is supported by linux.

I know the web site ECLIPSE but nobody know this card siemens DVB-T

I tried to install gen2vdr it is in german but I do the effort but it format the hard drive after it started installing finally I have a kernel panic message

the same for linvdr and minDVBlinux i don't know why

Hi,
If all the vdr distributions are failing with a kernel panic I'd suspect that the DVB card gets recognized but its driver failed.
An activy DVB-T card driver was introduced in september:

but I do not know if its the same as your card.
You can try reinstalling Gen2VDR without this card inserted, maybe that avoids the kernel panic ?!

it is possible the tv-out scrat doesn't work if the iso image doesn't conform to ISO-9660 ? :rolleyes:

when i creet vdr.iso under windows i have this warning

vdr iso : creeting filesystm that does not confotm to ISO-9660


or theres something rong for me i don't know :(

or i must change config in /_config/bin/activy_tvout.sh

Are both scarts not working ?
On the lower scart you should see the vdr menu after pressing menu on the remote control

yes both scarts not working

scart TV : I see console gento and Just console startx does not work getting error

scart AUX black screen


and remote deosn't work :unsure: i have this model

Hi,
Can you access the activy via ssh ?
If yes stop vdr:
/etc/init.d/vdr stop
and copy a working channels.conf to /etc/vdr/channels.conf.
Then restart vdr:
/etc/init.d/vdr start
Then you should see the channels.
If not please collect all logfiles:
/_config/bin/g2v_log.sh
the resulting .tgz or .7z should be under /tmp

Can you do the following in the shell:

/etc/init.d/vdr stop
dmesg -c
/_config/bin/dvbmod unload
/_config/bin/dvbmod load

and then post the output of:

and
dmesg

P.S. I had the messages sometimes with my pinnacle which i use in my test system.
This card doesn't seem to be reliable.

P.P.S. You should make a new installation dvd and a new installation,because your libs are broken, but I'd advice you to wait for the activy edition of gen2vdr which should be released in the near future ...

:D i have 2 cards pinnacle pcsat dvb-s and fujitsu siemens dvb-t

and i try to use both cards but i this moment i use one dvb-s

This is a well known problem. ;)

In this case the best you can do is, downloading an a new install-dvd an burn it as slow as you can(!) and do a neu installation.

It's sensless to search for further faults on a broken installation....

in the motherboard I see 2 serial ports but with 15 pin

one for cardreader and other for lirc it is exact ?

i think com1=cardreder and com2 for remtcontrol i don't know
